Kakīānau (black swans) have become one of my favourite avian subjects. Why? I’m not entirely sure, but I think it has something to do with the fact that they are always there and always happy to potter around in my vicinity for decent periods of time so I can settle in and work the angles without any pressure to get the shot before they’re gone.
